How to make this Indoor Kids’ Fort

You already have all the items that you need to make a fun, safe indoor kids’ fort. Gather up your materials and follow these simple steps that will have your little ones playing away the day.

Materials

  • 1 table
  • 2 chairs
  • Bedsheets
  • Pillows and/or cushions
  • Blankets
  • Clothespins or binder clips

1. Align dining room chairs with the dining room table to make an easy entryway.

2. Once you have the foundation, drape bedsheets over the edges of the table and chairs to create the walls. Beware of placing anything on top of the table that could be pulled down. Clothespins or binder clips can be used to attach two sheets. Couch cushions can be used as extra support for the walls.

3. Line the inside of your fort with blankets and pillows to create a cozy environment.

4. Add some personal touches to make it your own! String lights can be used to illuminate the inside. Decorations, drawings, and stuffed animals will make it feel more like home. Bring in a radio, books, board games, or tablet for instant entertainment.
