  • Look for our Better Choice shelf tags throughout the store to identify foods that have less of the things you don’t need, like added sugar.
  • When buying dairy alternatives (e.g., almond milk), look for unsweetened varieties.
  • Choose beverages with no added sugars, such as water or unsweetened tea, in place of sodas and other sugar-sweetened beverages.
  • Reduce the size of sugar-sweetened beverages. Instead of a 20-oz soda, switch to a 12-oz can or even one of the new 7.5-oz cans.
