Superhero Power Boxes Back to Event Details
Superheroes in training will enjoy creating these colorful boxes to stash all their "top secret" stuff. Plan this project for the beginning of the party so the boxes have time to dry before guests take them home.
MATERIALS
Scissors
Magazines, newspapers and comic books (make sure no one wants to keep them!)
Glossy decoupage medium (available at craft stores)
Paintbrush
Small cardboard boxes with lids (one per guest)
Sweet treats
- Carefully cut superhero images from magazines, newspapers and comic books.
- Brush decoupage medium on a small portion of the box and on the back of the cutouts. Place the cutouts on the box where you spread the decoupage medium. Continue applying decoupage and cutouts until the box and lid are covered. Layer the pieces however you wish, turning them in all directions. Let dry.
- Paint a final coat of decoupage medium over all of the areas covered with cutouts. Let the box dry.
- Surprise guests when it's time to leave by giving them the boxes filled with sweet treats.
