Helpful Home Party Tips Back to Articles
Arrange seating so everyone can face the television. Set out floor pillows and throw blankets for extra comfort.
- Set up two TVs—possibly in two separate rooms, depending on your guests’ preference—for watching. Dedicate one viewing area for diehard fans and the other for casual viewers who would rather chat and check on the event periodically.
- Serve finger foods from your neighborhood Publix while the game is on and plan a full meal for halftime. You won’t want to miss out on the fun while you’re cooking, so make cold foods ahead and use the oven or slow cooker for hot foods.
- If you need extra seating at home for the party, ask guests to bring lawn chairs. These are perfect for socializing after backyard volleyball or baseball, and you can use them indoors to watch a big game.
- Serve plenty of beverages to help your active bunch stay hydrated. Offer plenty of nonalcoholic beverages such as punch, juice, or bottled water.
