Pharmacy School Financial Assistance
We'd like to help YOU become a Publix Pharmacist.
Publix's Pharmacy Student Financial Assistance Program was designed to assist Publix associates who are exceptional pharmacy students. The goal is to provide financial support and educational support for associates studying to become a Pharmacist with Publix.
Who is eligible?
Any associate who plans to pursue a retail pharmacy career with Publix and meets the following qualifications:
|
- has been accepted to an accredited college of pharmacy
- has been employed at Publix for at least 90 days of continuous service (or re-employed with Publix within 26 weeks — 182—days — of a previous separation date), and
- receives a recommendation from a Pharmacy Supervisor.

How much assistance will Publix provide?
Qualifying associates are eligible to receive $2,500 per semester (excluding the summer) and up to $5,000 per school year or $20,000 for four years.
Is this a scholarship? This program represents a scholarship if students join Publix as a full-time, licensed Pharmacist within six months of graduation. Publix will eliminate each year of financial assistance for each year of full-time work as a Publix Pharmacist. The financial assistance is a loan, however, when a student fails to complete pharmacy school, does not remain employed at Publix, or does not become employed as a Publix Pharmacist within six months of graduation. How do I remain active in the program while in school? To remain active in the program, associates must be full-time students, maintain a cumulative "C" average, and work at least an average of 30 hours every six months at a Publix pharmacy.
How do associates apply?
Associates simply have to ask their manager for a brochure and an application.
