Our Refrigeration Technicians are responsible for maintaining our refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air and steam systems at our Dairy, Deli and Bakery Plants. They do this through systematic preventive maintenance that incorporates industry best practices. They also troubleshoot and repair all mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Without our Refrigeration Technicians, Manufacturing couldn't produce the volume and quality of products needed to serve our customers.

Qualifications

Required
The required qualifications differ somewhat depending on the specific equipment in each facility. They also differ depending on the level of responsibility for a particular position. In general, however, most of our Refrigeration Technicians must be:

experienced with a minimum of 3 years in 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems
experienced in Ammonia Refrigeration Maintenance and trouble shooting electrical and PLC based control systems
practiced in safe work habits
team players with obvious enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work well done, and
self-starters dedicated to continuous quality improvement

Preferred
We prefer to hire individuals who have work experience in a highly-automated manufacturing plant. Previous experience at Publix is also a plus.

Opportunities

Periodically, we have openings for Refrigeration Technicians in our Dairy, Deli and Bakery Plants. These Manufacturing facilities are located in Florida (Lakeland, Deerfield Beach) and Georgia (Atlanta, Lawrenceville). Starting pay rates depend on a technician's knowledge and experience. Future pay increases are based on performance. Shift assignments generally depend on a technician's length of service in each Manufacturing facility.
