Our team of Analysts provides ongoing financial support for various business areas to measure the success of strategic initiatives and other endeavors. They do this by developing and analyzing financial information which is utilized by various project teams. Business Analysts help manage small interdepartmental projects and research questions regarding financial operating results. They also prepare documents such as research findings, analysis results, memos and financial summaries. Without our Business Analysts, management couldn't provide important financial information and strategic direction to our stores and support facilities.

Opportunities

We often have openings for Business Analysts in our Lakeland offices. This opportunity is excellent for college graduates seeking an entry level position into Publix's Accounting and Finance departments. Each Analyst is assigned a support or retail business unit for which he or she is responsible. Compensation is hourly and includes a year-end bonus in December equal to two week's pay.

Qualifications

The required qualifications for this position include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field or at least four years relevant business experience
Ability to gather data from multiple sources and compile it in a user-friendly format, ensuring it meets customers' needs
Working knowledge of advanced spreadsheet/database/query tools
Ability to develop new reporting based on an in-depth understanding of customer needs
Ability to develop recommendations and implement solutions based on financial and other project data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to retain/absorb information readily, prioritize tasks to meet fluctuating demands and work under deadline constraints
Flexibility, high energy, the ability to be highly productive and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to facilitate improvement efforts
Obvious enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work
