After You Apply
What to Expect
The Job Application Center allows you to apply for entry-level positions in the store. However, there may be no openings in those positions when you apply. Only when an opening occurs does a store manager review applications that are active at that time. This is why it's so important to keep your application active every 30 days.
Because there often are dozens of applications for every position that needs to be filled, a store manager starts by reviewing the applications that are ranked highest by the system. Those rankings are based on the candidates' availability and several other pieces of information provided on the application.
Once the manager finds one or two candidates who best match the requirements of the open position, someone at the store calls the leading candidates to set up interviews. If you are called for an interview, please confirm the date, time and location of the interview. This is important because you may be called for an interview at a store other than the one where you applied.
Preparing for an Interview
Here are tips for preparing for an interview. Bring a resume and any other helpful information to the interview. Arrive a few minutes early to the interview and expect to be there for around 30 minutes to allow time for the manager to be located and the interview to be conducted. If you receive a job offer, it will be contingent on whether you can successfully complete a Criminal Background Check and a Drug Screen, and whether you meet other hire eligibility criteria. The store will provide more information about getting started.
