Publix's Information Systems (I/S) team is a diverse group of more than 1,000 technical professionals dedicated to maximizing the value of our company through the application of information technology. Our I/S team leads many exciting and innovative initiatives to enhance service, quality and efficiency across all areas of the organization.

The Publix I/S team is responsible for designing and developing proprietary applications and the infrastructure to support all of Publix's business areas. Publix's I/S team accomplishes this by:

• Creating a diverse environment among its applications along with wide area and local area networks connecting thousands of computers in stores, offices, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants
• Supporting the financial EFT network for point-of-sale and ATM transactions at the stores
• Providing customer support for all retail, office, and warehouse hardware and software resources
