eLearning Developer

The eLearning Developer uses 21st Century technology to develop online training opportunities for Publix associates.

Contributions

The eLearning Developer researches, designs, develops, programs, tests, deploys and maintains on-line education and training applications. This includes developing analyses, objectives, learning methods, and programming for all on-line training to ensure final training curricula is aligned with identified goals and objectives. The eLearning Developer also serves as a technical advisor at Publix and as a liaison between the Education & Training Development team and the Information Systems department.

Qualifications we look for

Master's Degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science or related field
Work experience using object oriented programming, using the document object model, developing web-based training applications and working in web-deployed database environments
Project management experience
Experience in I/T programming and coding in programs and languages such as Java, JavaScript, ASP, .NET technologies, SQL, XML, HTML, DHTML, etc.
Experience designing and developing effective training curriculum using adult learning theory and instructional design principles
Experience designing and developing computer based training content using standard eLearning tools such as FLASH, Captivate, DreamWeaver, Adobe, Creative Suite, etc.
Certifications in Java and/or JavaScript, Visual Studio.NET (or any .NET technology), Visual Basic, SQL and/or SQL Server and XML
Knowledge of trends within the computer, software, on-line and web-based technologies industry
