Maintenance Technicians perform systematic preventive maintenance that incorporates industry best practices. They also provide quick, effective repairs when possible. Without our Maintenance Technicians, Publix manufacturing plants couldn't produce the volume and quality of products needed to serve our customers.

We continually have openings for Maintenance Technicians in our Bakery, Deli, and Dairy Plants, our Fresh Food operations, and in Printing Services. These Manufacturing facilities are located in the Atlanta area and in three Florida locations—Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville, and Lakeland. Starting pay rates depend on a technician's knowledge and experience. Future pay increases are based on performance.

Qualifications we look for

The required qualifications differ depending on the specific equipment in each facility. They also differ depending on the level of responsibility for a particular position. We prefer to hire individuals who have work experience in a highly-automated manufacturing plant. In general, however, our Maintenance Technicians must be:

• proficient in electro mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• able to read and interpret schematics and drawings
• experienced in PLC controllers and process instrumentation
• practiced in safe work habits
• team players with obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done, and
• self-starters dedicated to continual quality improvement.
