Associate Diversity Development Specialist

The Associate Diversity Development Specialist helps Publix attract and retain talented associates and provide work environments where similarities and differences are valued and utilized to achieve organizational goals.

This Specialist creates, promotes, and implements initiatives designed to increase minority representation throughout our company. This involves serving as a strategic consultant to Support and Retail Operations. With knowledge of staffing needs throughout the company, the Associate Diversity Development Specialist builds relationships with outside organizations – such as colleges, placement firms, and government agencies – to attract diverse applicants with the skills needed to meet our business objectives.

Qualifications we look for

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
Experience developing and implementing diversity initiatives
Experience working with outside organizations and setting up successful recruiting partnerships
Recruiting and staffing experience
Knowledge of diversity initiatives, theories, and new developments
Knowledge of a wide range of Recruiting and Retention strategies
Project management skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
