Why I Love Publix
Marketing Information Systems Manager
I guess you could say I've never known life without Publix. I was two years old when my father started his career with Publix as a stock clerk. He retired 25 years later as a store manager. My career with Publix started when I was 14 years old as a part-time cashier in Naples, FL. Now, many years later, I find myself in the position of Marketing Information Systems Manager.
Throughout my career, Publix has given me the opportunity to participate in numerous projects associated with technology. I ended up in Marketing in 1990, first as a Business Analyst, and now as the person overseeing the analytics for marketing programs, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs, competitive activity, demographics, and consumer and category trends.
The best thing about Publix is the people. It's a second family to me. I have the opportunity to study with some of the most respected and intelligent leaders and associates within Publix and across the industry.
I also met my husband Danny here. Because of Publix's enviable stock program and his 24 years with the company, Danny was able to retire from Publix to pursue a full-time career as a commercial photographer. Today, our two adult children and their spouses are employed by Publix. Both kids started in retail and have progressed into their current positions as a Loss Prevention Project Coordinator and a staff photographer.
As you can tell, my whole family loves working at Publix!
