Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Chef Michael Saperstein unknowingly began his culinary career working summer cooking jobs as a teenager. Chef Michael graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in culinary arts. Since then he’s worked at Aureole and Park Avenue Café in New York City, as well as Café Maxx in Pompano Beach, Bistro 17 in Fort Lauderdale, and Gotham City Restaurant and Bar in Delray Beach. In 2004 Michael teamed up with Toni and Andrew Lampasone of Wine Watch in Fort Lauderdale to launch Wine Watch Unique Catering Services. Chef Michael has been awarded numerous 4 star reviews for his cuisine and has also been nominated for a “James Beard Rising Star in Culinary Arts” award. He describes his food as “Seasonal Fare” prepared with a modern French twist, focusing on exceptional ingredients, big flavors, with a fun twist.

In 2006 Chef Saperstein partnered with Evan S David, to form E&M Innovative Foods. E&M was created to provide out of the box expert consulting for the food industry.

In 2008 Evan & Mike created E&M Munchies. The purpose of E&M Munchies is to take their skills to the street to create the much needed “Slow Food, Fast” concept. E&M created their first QSR “Quick Service Restaurant” concept Charm City Burger. Charm City Burger, a smashing success was the catalyst for creating El Jefe Luchador “Hardcore Mexican Street Food”. El Jefe Luchador has seen great growth over the first year in business, earning smashing reviews and accolades. In 2011 E&M created The Rebel House, a renegade restaurant concept to become the forerunner in the gourmet casual segment. Rebel house is in its 2nd year of business and has been garnishing acclaim since opening its doors.

In 2011 Chef Saperstein was given the honor of being named top 10 chefs in South Florida for his visionary thinking. He currently oversees culinary operations for E&M Munchies, E&M Innovative Foods, Wine Watch Catering, and as Product & High Profile Account Specialist at Halpern’s Steak & Seafood.
