Farmed salmon has a rich orange color, even after cooking. It has a moderate flavor and medium texture, but is more mild and delicate than wild salmon. Farmed salmon contains more heart-healthy EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acid than wild salmon.

Oven-Baked Salmon

1 1/2 lb salmon, skin removed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon seafood seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with foil; brush fish with olive oil, sprinkle with seasoning and pepper.
  2. Bake 12-15 minutes or until opaque and separates easily.

Other Preparation Methods

Grill: Preheat grill to medium. Season 1 1/2 lb salmon fillets with salt and pepper and rub with 1 tablespoon oil. Grill fish 4-5 minutes on each side or until opaque and separates easily.

Sauté: Place 1 1/2 lb salmon, skin removed, with 1 tablespoon oil in large sauté pan on medium. Cook 3-5 minutes on each side or until opaque and separates easily. Season with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
