Stone crab claw meat is tender and sweet. To meet our high quality standards, Publix only sells fresh, never frozen stone crab harvested from the United States from our seafood case. Our stone crab claws are already cooked, so simply reheat and serve or just serve them cold.

Stone Crab Claws With Mustard Sauce

Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons half-and-half
3 teaspoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon steak sauce
2 lb medium cooked stone crab claws (about 16 claws)

Steps
  1. Whisk all ingredients (except crab) until blended. Cover and chill.
  2. Holding each claw on a clean flat surface, use the back of a heavy spoon to crack the shell of the knuckles and the center of the flat side of the claw. Remove shells; serve claw meat with sauce.

Other Preparation Methods

Boil: Bring water to a boil. Crack the shells of 2 lb stone crab claws at each knuckle and on the claw. Add claws to water; cook 1 1/2 minutes or until hot. Remove shells; serve claw meat with melted butter.
