ABOUT PORK TENDERLOIN

The tenderloin is the leanest and most tender cut of pork. For best results, cook to 145°F and let rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.

Barbecue Baked Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients
1 lb pork tenderloin
1 tablespoon mesquite seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 cup barbecue sauce

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Season pork tenderloin with mesquite seasoning and garlic on all sides. Place in baking dish and bake 20-25 minutes or until pork is 145°F.
  2. Let pork stand 5 minutes before slicing and serve with barbecue sauce.

Other Preparation Methods

Grill: Preheat grill. Season a 1 lb pork tenderloin with 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Place on grill over direct heat; grill 3-5 minutes on each side or until pork is 145°F. Brush 1/4 cup teriyaki glaze over pork; let stand 3 minutes before serving.

Sauté: Slice 1 lb pork tenderloin into 8 diagonal slices. Place in zip-top bag with 2 cloves minced garlic, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning; coat pork slices. Preheat 1 tablespoon butter in large sauté pan and add pork. Cook 8-10 minutes or until pork is 145°F. Let pork stand 3 minutes before serving.
