- Prepare stew and begin to cook - 10 minutes
- Allow stew to slow cook ¿ 8 to 10 hours
- 20 minutes before serving, prepare noodles (steam broccoli, if using) and serve

Homestyle Beef Stew
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat
2 (14-ounce) cans beef broth
1 can water
1/2 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
1/2 teaspoon browning sauce
1 (5 5/8-ounce) package beef stew-flavored soup mix
Steps
1. Preheat slow cooker on high heat 1 to 2 minutes.
2. Place stew meat in slow cooker.
3. Add broth and 1 can of water.
4. Add steak seasoning, browning sauce and soup mix. Stir, cover and reduce heat to low.
5. Cook 8-10 hours. Serve.
Garlic Butter Fusilli
Ingredients
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried)
8 ounces fusilli (1/2 bag)
2 tablespoons garlic butter
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper, to taste
Steps
1. Fill large saucepan 3/4 full of water. Cover and place on high heat to boil for pasta.
2. Wash and chop parsley. Set aside.
3. Stir pasta into boiling water. Boil 8 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.
4. Drain pasta (do not rinse) and return empty saucepan to stove. Using reserve heat only, add butter to saucepan and swirl to coat. Stir in cooked pasta, parsley, cheese, salt and pepper. Toss until well mixed. Serve.
