ABOUT BONELESS, SKINLESS CHICKEN BREAST

Boneless, skinless chicken breast is all white meat and the leanest part of the chicken. It is extremely versatile, great for a wide variety of preparation methods, and takes on the flavor of marinades or seasonings.

Grilled Balsamic Lemon Chicken

Ingredients
1 3/4 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 lemon, halved
2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

Steps
  1. Preheat grill. Season chicken on both sides with lemon pepper seasoning and salt. Grill chicken 1-2 minutes over direct heat. Squeeze juice of half a lemon over chicken. Once chicken is seared, cover.
  2. Grill 6-8 minutes on each side over medium heat or until chicken is 165°F. Let stand 5 minutes; top with remaining lemon juice and balsamic glaze.

Other Preparation Methods

Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Place 1 3/4 lb chicken breasts in a baking dish; season with salt and pepper. Top with 1/2 cup tomato sauce, and 1 cup Italian blend shredded cheese. Cover and bake 30-35 minutes or until chicken is 165°F. Serve with pasta.

Sauté: Preheat 1 tablespoon canola oil in large sauté pan on medium. Season 1 3/4 lb chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place chicken in pan; cook 6-8 minutes on each side or until chicken is 165°F. Spread basil pesto over top of chicken.
