Beef is an excellent source of protein. Publix offers several varieties of ground beef and our Meat associates will gladly recommend the best variety for your needs or grind any cut of beef for you.

Meat Loaf


1 1/2 lb ground beef
2 eggs
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 cup tomato sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 350░F. Combine ground beef, eggs, chopped onion, Italian seasoning, and bread crumbs in medium bowl and mix until well blended; place in loaf pan.
  2. Bake 35-40 minutes or until beef is 160░F. Remove from oven and top with tomato sauce.

Other Preparation Methods

SautÚ: Preheat large sautÚ pan on medium-high. Place 1 lb ground beef, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, and 1/2 cup chopped onion in pan. Cook 5-7 minutes or until ground beef is 160░F. Stir in 1 cup marinara sauce; cook 2-3 minutes or until hot. Serve over pasta.

Grill: Form 1 1/2 lb ground beef into 4 patties. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Grill 3-5 minutes on each side or until beef is 160║F.
