Grilled Prime Rib With Sautéed Mushrooms and Baked Steak Fries
Meal Time - 35 minutes / Serves 2
Cooking Sequence
- Preheat oven; prepare steak fries and set aside until oven preheats: 5 minutes
- Prepare mushrooms and begin to simmer: 10 minutes
- Place fries in oven and prepare salad (if added from suggested item list): 15 minutes
- Turn fries, then during last 5 minutes of fries baking time, prepare prime rib and serve: 5 minutes

Grilled Prime Rib With Sautéed Mushrooms
Ingredients
8 ounces whole mushrooms
vegetable cooking spray
1/4 cup cream sherry
1 tablespoon garlic butter
1 teaspoon roasted garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons Montreal Steak Seasoning
1 teaspoon browning sauce
10 drops liquid smoke flavoring
two 8-ounce slices pre-cooked prime rib
Steps
1. Preheat sauté pan on high for 1-2 minutes.
2. Wash mushrooms and pat dry.
3. Spray sauté pan with cooking spray and add mushrooms; spray mushrooms with cooking spray, cover and sauté for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Stir sherry, garlic butter, roasted garlic, and 1 teaspoon steak seasoning into mushrooms. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Preheat grill.
6. Place browning sauce, liquid smoke and 1/2 teaspoon steak seasoning in 2-cup measuring cup; stir to mix.
7. Using pastry brush, brush mixture onto both sides of prime rib and place on grill for 2 minutes. (If using regular grill, double cooking time, turning once.) Serve.
Baked Steak Fries
Ingredients
1/3 package frozen steak fries (2 cups)
vegetable cooking spray
1 teaspoon Montreal Steak Seasoning
Steps
1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
2. Spread fries on ungreased baking sheet in a single layer.
3. Spray fries with cooking spray and sprinkle with seasoning.
4. Bake for 20 minutes, turning fries halfway through cooking time.
