ABOUT BEEF RIB ROAST

Rib roasts are sold either bone-in or boneless. Publix Meat associates will gladly debone and tie a rib roast for easy carving. This very flavorful piece of meat forms a great crust when roasted.

Garlic-Herb Rubbed Rib Roast

Ingredients
4 lb boneless rib roast
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon herbs de Provence

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Season rib roast on all sides; wrap in foil and place in baking dish. Bake 2 hours and remove foil. Bake an additional 30-45 minutes or until roast is 145F (medium-rare) up to 170F (well-done).
  2. Transfer roast to cutting board; let stand 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Other Preparation Methods

Bake: Preheat oven to 325F. Season a 4 lb standing rib roast with salt and pepper on all sides. Place in a roasting pan and bake 1 1/2 hours. Rub rib roast with Dijon mustard and top with bread crumbs. Bake 45-60 minutes or until roast is 145F (medium-rare) up to 170F (well-done). Transfer roast to cutting board; let stand 10-15 minutes before slicing.
