Salted Caramel Popcorn Cones

Salted Caramel Popcorn Cones
Total Time:
20 minutes

2 cups salted pretzel sticks
12 cups Deli popcorn
1 (2.5-oz) bag red apple chips
1 (2.5-oz) bag green apple chips
1/2 cup pecan chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 large waffle cones (or bowls)
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup

  1. Chop 1 cup pretzel sticks coarsely. Place pretzels, popcorn, apple chips, and pecans in a large bowl.
  2. Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1–2 minutes, stirring halfway or until melted and smooth. Dip each cone top into chocolate and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Place tips down into bowl of popcorn until cooled.
  3. In a small saucepan stir butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and 1 teaspoon salt together over medium heat until melted. Bring to boil. Boil for 4 minutes without stirring. Remove cooled chocolate cones from bowl. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn and stir to coat evenly. Allow popcorn to cool slightly and fill each cone with popcorn mixture. Serve.
