Publix Recognized As One of IDG's Computerworld Best Places to Work in Information Technology
LAKELAND, Fla., June 28, 2011 – For the seventh consecutive year, Publix has been honored as one of IDG’s Computerworld top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals. Publix ranks No. 68 on this year’s list and remains the only supermarket chain to be recognized. In addition, Publix ranks No. 39 for companies with 10,000 or more associates. This honor is part of the weekly IT publication’s 18th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey, published in the June 20 issue of Computerworld and online at www.computerworld.com.

The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals compiled by IDG’s Computerworld. The lists are compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
